A Little About Myself
I’ve worked at Blessed Sacrament School in Westminster, CA for 11 years and absolutely love working here. I’ve taught early childhood, 3rd grade, and am currently teaching 4th grade. Blessed Sacrament School has been around for 75 years and has strongly grown and changed in its time. It’s been incredible to witness this in the short duration that I’ve worked here. Education and teaching have been a strong passion of mine. Prior to working at Blessed Sacrament School, I’ve had no experience attending or teaching at a Catholic school. It is by the grace of God that I was brought to work in Catholic education. Working in Catholic education has personally helped me grow closer to my faith and has helped me become more aware of God’s presence in all that I do, including teaching. It’s been an amazing opportunity to experience not just teaching, but to be a part of a faith-filled community while guiding and supporting my students towards their faith journey.
Teaching the Whole Child
Along with teaching academics, I enjoy being able to teach to the whole child. Our school motto is, “Act Justly, love tenderly and walk humbly with God (Micah 6:8).” When I am teaching across subjects, it is an honor to model and witness this day-to-day. I am grateful to teach students about God’s goodness, to pray with my students, and to teach Catholic values. I love that I can share a bond of loving God with the students and the community. There is a warm family among our school community. I truly see Christ all around and in each of my students. By working in Catholic education, my hope is that the students I have taught will be able to carry out Christ’s mission and bring His light and love out into the world. It’s been a true blessing to be able to work in Catholic education!
