Pax Christi Academies serving La Purisima (Orange), St. Anne (Santa Ana), St. Barbara (Santa Ana), St. Joseph (Santa Ana), and St. Justin Martyr (Anaheim)is a community of five vibrant Catholic elementary schools in the Diocese of Orange, united in our mission to form students in Faith, Intellect, Character, and Citizenship. Our schools provide Christ-centered, academically excellent learning environments that nurture the whole child.
We are seeking dependable and flexible On-Call Substitute Teachers to support our schools as needed throughout the year. Substitutes play an essential role in maintaining instructional continuity and supporting students’ learning and faith formation when classroom teachers are absent.
Responsibilities:
- Implement lesson plans provided by the classroom teacher or administration.
- Maintain a positive, structured, and faith-filled classroom environment.
- Supervise and engage students in meaningful learning activities.
- Communicate effectively with school staff and administration.
- Follow school and Pax Christi Academies policies and procedures.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree required.
- Teaching credential or substitute permit preferred.
- Experience working with children in an educational setting.
- Commitment to the mission and values of Catholic education.
- Flexibility to work across multiple campuses as needed.
Schedule & Compensation:
- On-call, as needed during the school year.
- Hourly rate: $20.00 – $25.00. Hourly rate based on education and experience.
