St. Joseph School, Santa Ana is seeking a reliable and enthusiastic Short-Term Instructional Assistant to support a Grade 4 classroom and a small reading group during our Level Up Program. The Instructional Assistant will work under the direction of the classroom teacher to help students succeed academically and socially in a positive learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support small group and individual instruction in core subjects
- Assist students with classwork, organization, and task completion
- Help maintain a safe, respectful, and engaging classroom environment
- Supervise students during classroom activities and transitions
- Prepare and organize instructional materials as needed
- Support students with diverse learning needs
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Experience working with elementary-aged students preferred
- Patience, flexibility, and strong communication skills
- Ability to follow teacher direction and work as part of a team
- Background check/clearances required
Compensation:
- Starting at $17.50 per hour, based on experience and qualifications
