Pax Christi Academies is seeking a responsible, compassionate, and enthusiastic Extended Care Aide to support students after the school day. The Extended Care Aide ensures a safe, structured, and nurturing environment where students can engage in homework, recreational activities, and social development under the supervision of school staff. This role is ideal for individuals who enjoy working with children and supporting a faith-filled, academically focused school community.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Supervise students in after-school care programs, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.
- Lead age-appropriate recreational activities, games, and enrichment opportunities.
- Assist students with homework and academic support as needed.
- Promote positive behavior and reinforce school rules and expectations.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming environment for extended care.
- Communicate effectively and professionally with students, families, and staff.
- Uphold the mission, values, and Catholic identity of Pax Christi Academies.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Practicing Catholic
- Experience working with children in a school, childcare, or similar setting preferred.
- Ability to supervise and engage students in a safe, structured, and nurturing manner.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
- Positive, flexible, and collaborative attitude.
- Commitment to upholding the Catholic mission and values of the school.
- CPR and First Aid certification preferred (or willingness to obtain).
SCHEDULE & COMPENSATION
- Part-time, Monday–Friday, after school hours; between 16-18hrs per week.
- Competitive hourly rate starting at $18/hr, commensurate with experience.
