St. Joseph Catholic School is seeking a passionate and dedicated 5th grade teacher to join our team! The 5th Grade Teacher is responsible for teaching all core academic subjects, with the exception of science, which is taught by a departmentalized teacher. The 5th Grade Teacher will serve as a homeroom teacher and is responsible for creating a supportive, faith-centered learning environment that nurtures the spiritual, academic, and social growth of each student.

  • Practicing Catholic preferred.
  • Bachelor’s Degree and Multiple Subject Teaching Credential
  • Prior teaching experience in an elementary classroom setting (preferred)
  • Strong classroom management skills.
  • Experience with technology in the classroom and knowledge of Google Workspace for Education (Docs, Slides, Classroom) strongly preferred.
  • Ability to integrate Chromebooks effectively in a 1:1 classroom environment.
  • Commitment to the mission and philosophy of Catholic education.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and collaboration skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues, students, and parents

SALARY:
The annual salary will be based on the 2025-2026 Diocese of Orange Elementary TEACHER Salary Scale ($48,425 – $86,415.00).  Placement on the scale is contingent on education and experience.
